  1. What is the service “Daily Challenge”?

“Daily Challenge” is a subscription-based portal that offers to Safaricom subscribers an interactive, fun to the max and full of surprises game experience.


It is an innovative web-based set of daily “challenges” that will twist and squeeze every inch of users’ brain, testing their speed, intelligence, hand-eye coordination, listening skills, memory, abstract thinking and general knowledge.

Upon successful renewal of their subscription, users are invited to complete the “challenge” of the day. By completing it, they earn points which are added to their overall points balance. Moreover, they collect gems depending on how well they performed against other players during the specific day. Gems help users to climb up the leaderboard in their quest to become the no1!


  1. How much does the subscription cost?

The cost of the service upon the subscription is 15 KES/calendar day (incl. VAT).

  1. How can a user participate in the “Daily Challenge” service?

Subscribers of Safaricom can register to the portal and join the service by sending the keyword “OK” to 23210 and confirm by SMS and they will receive:

After confirming their subscription to the service, subscribers will receive via SMS the legal information of the service, such as: confirmation of subscription, price and exit command, and also the service’s web portal URL, along with the credentials. They will also receive via SMS the first trivia question of the day.

  1. Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

  1. How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by sending an SMS with the word “STOP” to 23210 (at no cost) or by dialing *456*20# (at no cost). Upon sending the respective keyword to the shortcode you will be unsubscribed. After the successful unsubscription, you will receive an SMS confirming the cancellation of the service. Customers who join the service are considered active users unless they cancel their subscription.

  1. Will I have access to the portal after I have canceled my subscription?

After cancellation, you will continue to have access to the portal until the end of the day. If you have available Daily Challenge points, they will be stored and be available to you when you re-subscribe.

  1. How does a user play in the portal?

Upon subscription to the service and upon every successful charge, users will receive an SMS with a unique link to access the portal. Users can directly tap on the link and start playing in order to complete the “challenge” of the day. By completing it, they earn points which are added to their overall points balance.

Challenge of the Day can be any of the following Games:

  1. Single Question Brain Teaser

  2. Skill Challenges

  3. Quick Fire

  4. Streak

  5. Standard Quiz

Based on whether the subscriber’s score in each challenge is Low, Medium or High, he will get:

  1. Low: 5 points

  2. Medium: 25 points

  3. High: 50 points

The daily leaderboard keeps a real-time estimation of gems based on the number of submitted scores so far. On top of the Daily Leaderboard, there is a weekly leaderboard based on the number of gems earned from daily challenges over a week. Gems are awarded to the player after the daily challenge has finished. The amount of gems awarded depends on how many users play that daily challenge. The user who has accumulated the most gems throughout the week (Monday to Sunday) will be the best player of the week. Every Sunday at midnight, the accumulated scores earned via the portal will be reset to zero.
